LIBRA OS
Runs in your environment Frequently asked questions

Questions, answered.

What Libra OS is, how it deploys, and the name — plainly.

The product

What is Libra OS?

Libra OS is the operating system for the AI workforce — a digital-employee system that runs inside your own environment. You delegate work (legal, marketing, finance, operations) and it returns source-cited results. It's a single Go binary: multi-agent orchestration, a Knowledge DB, a 3-tier AI Firewall, and 100+ models via an OpenAI-compatible endpoint.

What can a digital employee do?

Contract and NDA review, market research, policy-grounded reports, document processing, email triage, and internal Q&A. Grounded output includes citations; ungrounded output is labeled. Actions retain an audit trail.

Does my data stay on-premise?

LibraOS deploys inside your environment. With local models and connectors it can run air-gapped without external data egress. It is SOC 2 Type II attested (Security / Common Criteria) and supports HIPAA-compliant customer environments.

How is it different from closed-source SaaS AI?

Closed SaaS runs in a vendor's cloud with that vendor's models only. Libra OS runs on your own infrastructure with 100+ frontier and open-source models, a 3-tier AI Firewall, source-cited output, and roughly two-week deployment — no vendor lock-in.

Which models does it support?

100+ frontier and open-source models, behind one OpenAI-compatible API with intelligent failover.

How long does deployment take?

About two weeks to production. Your existing OpenAI-compatible clients point at it unchanged.

Is it protected against prompt injection?

Yes. A 3-tier AI Firewall — regex, ML risk scoring, then an LLM judge — screens inbound and outbound traffic for prompt injection, jailbreaks, and PII. On AgentDojo, attack success drops 35% with defenses on while benign utility holds at 90.7%.

How much does it cost?

Free for personal use. Commercial licensing is available — model usage is pay-as-you-go by default, and token plans offer predictable flat-rate monthly billing. Contact us for a quote.

The name

Libra OS is named for the scales — libra, balance, 天秤. It is the oldest symbol for weighing one thing against another before you act — which is exactly what a supervised copilot does.

THE SCALES

Why the scales?

A Libra OS copilot works below a line of confidence and scope, and escalates above it. The name is that line — measured judgment, weighed every time, never outrunning your review.

天秤 · BALANCE

It reads the same everywhere

In Chinese, 天秤 is the balance beam. Across languages the reading holds — measure, weight, equilibrium — a name about discipline, not noise.

WEIGHED, NOT GUESSED

Grounding is visible

Grounded output cites your data. When no source was retrieved, the ungrounded state is visible rather than presented as evidence-backed.
